Downtown Abbey’s performance at the box Office is exceeding expectations

Downtown abbey Winner of numerous accolades, like Golden Globe Award for Best Miniseries or Television Film, Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Miniseries or Movie, and being recognized by Guinness World Records as the most critically acclaimed English-language television series of 2011, Downton Abbey now finds a bang on Success at the box office.

The plot of the movie centers around the Crawley family and their loyal servants prepping the famed Yorkshire estate for the royal visit. During1920s. King George V and Queen Mary were regular visitors to Yorkshire, especially after their daughter Princess Mary got married to Viscount Lascelles in 1922 followed by  the birth of their first grandchild in 1923. The Royals visited every year to stay with them at their family homes of Goldsborough Hall 1922–1930 and later Harewood House. The Royals would often visit and stay with other Yorkshire estates whilst in the area or on route to their Scottish Estate of Balmoral.

When the Sensational PBS and ITV series wrapped in 2015, rumors of a film were in the air,which finally released on 9th September,2019. Spectacular performance of the actors kept the audiences awe-stricken. All the phases were shown beautifully with an essence of up to the mark portrayed emotions, whether it’s a scene between Violet and Mary or Violet’s confession to her beloved Mary.

The film is performing extremely well with a whopping $31 million in domestic ticket sales this weekend. Exceeding expectations, Downtown Abbey has earned excellent reviews from the critics.
